RS Elite Class Association Membership

The Class Association is run by volunteer RS Elite sailors for RS Elite sailors and enjoys the close co-operation of RS Sailing, the manufacturer. The Association works hard for its membership to help promote the Class but more specifically:

  • Sets the rules to give great one-design racing – enhancing resale values
  • Organises the website, race reports and news – keeping you informed
  • Organises racing events with a fantastic social scene – improving the RS Elite popularity and value
  • Organises training events – helping you get the most from your boat
  • Liaises with the builder, RS Sailing – ensuring the quality and specification are what owners want
  • Encourages new people to get involved – giving a better experience for everyone
  • Negotiates excellent discounts from the RS Sailing Store (including sail discounts)

Membership is open to all owners, helms, crews and supporters of the RS Elite – Full Membership works out at just £2.50 per month and even less for Associate Membership. Only Full and Family Membership confirms the right to vote at the AGM and EGMs. Only Full, Family or Associate members are eligble to helm and compete for points, places and prizes in Open Elite Class events such as the National Championship, Regional Championships, Cowes Week and Burnham Week. Funds are used to maintain the website, support the Nationals and other Open Regattas and generally support the RS Elite Class and its membership as appropriate.
