Welcome to the RS Elite Class Association
We are a highly active Class Association, run by Elite sailors and enjoying the close co-operation of RS Sailing.
And we’re a passionate bunch – most of us have sailed for years in all sorts of boats and now truly love racing our Elites. If close racing in a fast, exceptionally well-mannered keelboat with a highly sociable fleet lights your candle, welcome - you’re in the right place!
Beautiful...to look at and sail, finger light steering in all conditions and masses of stability make the Elite a joy to sail.
"...a joy to sail"
Fast...so easily driven that consistently high speeds are achieved, both upwind and down - no high loads so perfect for both men and women of virtually all ages – rewards good sailors rather than the most physical teams.
"...fast, but without the
drama of high loads"
And Fun...some of the best racing on the keelboat scene - the fleet includes past champions and successful sailors from many other classes, attracted by close one-design competition and a performance level that takes everyone by surprise – highly tactical.

everyone by surprise"
